Blair
Comic 2004 · Soul Eater
Blair is playful, flirtatious, and mischievous, fond of teasing Soul in particular to Maka's irritation. She enjoys having fun without seeking real harm and is generally good-natured toward people in trouble.
Short summary: Blair appears in Atsushi Ohkubo's Soul Eater, a manga serialized from 2004 and adapted into a Studio Bones anime that aired in Japan from 2008 to 2009. The running gag with Blair is that she looks and behaves like a witch yet is actually a cat with potent magic, which is why Soul Eater and Maka Albarn target her early on, mistaking her for the witch soul they need. Defeating her merely costs her one of her many lives rather than yielding a witch soul, and she sticks around afterward as a comedic presence. Blair shifts between an ordinary black cat and a curvaceous human woman styled with a witch hat and purple aesthetic. Her magic leans on pumpkin imagery, including the destructive Smashing Pumpkin spell, and she generally treats conflict as play.
