Purple Cat Names, Names Inspired by Purple Color

Purple cat names belong to the rich end of the color wheel, to velvet curtains, plum skin, and the violet last minutes of a summer sky. For cat owners who love that moody, luxurious palette, purple-inspired names are a beautiful match, especially for cats with silvery-blue coats, smoky points, or simply bold, regal personalities. Purple cat names draw from flowers, fruits, and the color's own poetic vocabulary, and they suit any kitten with a slightly dramatic flair worth naming out loud in daily conversation.

Violet suits a delicate, watchful female with flower-soft manners. Lilac works beautifully for a pale pointed cat whose coat hints at lavender in the right light. Plum fits a plush round-bellied kitten whose coziness seems to carry its own color. Lavender, calming and fragrant, wraps a gentle queen in garden softness, while Mulberry gives a warm dark-toned boy a name full of late summer sweetness and just a touch of mischief.

When you try a purple cat name, say it as the sun sets through the window, because these names shine best in rich evening light. If these appeal to you, our 'color' and 'flower' cat name collections pair beautifully with these picks. Purple cat names are small daily tributes to the most poetic color in the spectrum, and every 'Violet, dinner' or 'Lilac, off the curtain' tucks a little extra elegance into your household, dressing your cat in the gentle drama the color itself has always carried.
