Fictional Cat Names, Cartoon Cat Names

Fictional cat names borrow the charm of famous cats from cartoons, films, books and TV so your kitten walks in already feeling like a star. If you grew up with Garfield on the couch and Tom chasing Jerry, a fictional cat name gives your new kitten a ready-made personality and plenty of conversation with guests who recognise the reference.

For cat-loving households, fictional cat names come from every corner of pop culture. Garfield, the lasagna-loving orange tabby from the comic strip, suits a chunky ginger with big opinions. Salem, the black cat from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, fits a sleek black kitten with a mischievous streak. Cheshire, after the grinning cat in Alice in Wonderland, works for a striped cat with a knowing look. Luna, from the Sailor Moon anime, is perfect for a small black queen with expressive eyes. Simba, from Disney's The Lion King, suits a golden, lion-like tom. Each fictional cat name carries a beloved story.

Say your fictional cat names out loud, the best ones make you smile and are easy to call at breakfast. Short picks like Salem, Luna and Simba work especially well.
