Huh Cat
Internet 2023 · TikTok meme (Huh Cat)
Comes across as perpetually, endearingly confused, a cat who appears to be asking a question he will never get answered.
Short summary: Huh Cat is a chubby cat from Melbourne, Australia, whose food-begging meow sounds uncannily like the spoken word huh. Owned by a TikTok creator, the cat first appeared online in 2021, but a 2023 repost sent the clip massively viral, and the freeze-frame of his open-mouthed, faintly puzzled expression became one of the internet go-to confused-reaction images. His real name is Bender. The meme is now used to react to anything baffling or unexpected, layering his single questioning syllable over screenshots and conversations. Like many viral cats, his fame rests on one perfectly timed sound and a face that seems to ask what on earth is going on.
